Pols weigh auto insurance changes

Tuesday, December 4, 2007

Trenton (AP) -- Argument is raging again over New Jersey's exalted auto coverage rates.

Projected statute law advanced today by a Senate commission would forbid the state from limiting how much insurance companies pay for more than than 1,000 services and processes for car accident victims. Sponsors state the bounds aid insurance companies at the disbursal of accident victims. But insurance companies state the bounds control costs. New Jersey drivers pay more than for car coverage than any other state at about $1,200 per driver.
