SKS Micro enters health insurance
Hyderabad: SKS Microfinance Pvt Ltd have forayed into wellness coverage in association with ICICI Langobard General Insurance.
The product, christened 'Swayam Shakti' and targeted at the mediocre in semifinal urban and rural areas, would supply screen to SKS members in Andhra Pradesh, Mysore and Orissa by March.

It would offer coverage to a member, his/her partner and two children against pre-existing illnesses, maternity, more than than 24-hours hospitalization and personal accident for a time period of one twelvemonth through both cashless and reimbursement options.
The launch of wellness coverage by the Hyderabad-based company followed a three-month successful airplane pilot wherein it covered 50,000 members and 1.75 hundred thousand lives in the semi-urban and rural countries in six territories of North Karnataka, according to a release.
